AIDSO organises protest against KEA Assistant professor recruitment 2021 paper leak

NEW DELHI: The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) organised a protest demonstration in Freedom park, Bengaluru against the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) Assistant professor's recruitment exam paper leak issue. AIDSO appealed to the government to ensure proper investigation into the paper leak case and punishment for the guilty.

The Karnataka University vice-chancellor is alleged to have been involved in the KEA Assistant professor's recruitment exam question paper leak case, and is being interrogated for the same. The KEA assistant professor recruitment exam for government first-grade colleges was held on March 14, where the candidates appeared for the geography paper. About 11 questions in the question paper were allegedly leaked.

According to district secretary Kalyan Kumar, who addressed the gathering, there were 18 questions leaked in the geography question paper and the leak is also suspected in question papers such as economics, sociology and English. "It is very sad to note that these irregularities have taken place in the field of education and recruitment. And, is painful that the noble profession of educating students, is being recruited through corruption. What kind of teaching can we expect from such appointed lecturers. How can they develop students as personalities, impart thinking and knowledge. What moral values will be given by them? In this scam, according to press reports, many universities and lecturers are said to be involved. This being taken place with the involvement, who own academic responsibility, frightens us to think of their concern in saving education," he said.

Vinay Chandra, district treasurer said that those involved in the KEA paper leak case should be punished appropriately "... the situation should not turn into catching hold of smaller fishes and doing away with the bigger ones," he said. AIDSO demanded to establish justice at the earliest.
