The University of Allahabad has announced that admissions to postgraduate (PG) courses for the 2025-26 academic session will not be conducted through the Samarth portal. The university has announced that the Allahabad University PG admission 2025 process will continue to be held in online mode. Admissions to PG programmes will be based on the Post Graduate Admission Test (PGAT) conducted by the university.
“This is to notify that the Post-Graduate (PG) admissions in the University of Allahabad for the session 2025-2026 will not be conducted through SAMARTH Portal. However, the counselling will still be done in online mode only,” the official notice said.
The Allahabad University will offers a diverse selection of postgraduate programmes across various disciplines, including Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Education (MEd), Master of Commerce (MCom) and other programmes.
Information related to seat availability across various PG courses, category-wise reservation of seats, counselling fee payment procedures, and the list of documents required for verification will be provided once the university will releases the detailed admission guidelines for the 2025 academic session. These guidelines are expected to include instructions on the counselling schedule, steps for online preference filling, eligibility verification, and final admission confirmation through the official portal.
