Anant National University invites applications for first-ever specialised BTech in climate change

Candidates seeking admission to BTech programme in climate change can register for the third round by July 31, 2023.

NEW DELHI: Anant School for Climate Action, Ahmedabad, has invited applications for BTech programme specializing in climate change. Eligible candidates can register themselves on the official website – anu.edu.in. The candidates can register for the third round by July 31, 2023. Students with Gujarat domicile can also apply through the ACPC website for round second.

High school graduates with proficiency in at least three subjects – computer sciences, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology are eligible for the BTech climate change programme. The school accepts candidates from all Indian and international high school boards, and there are no age restrictions for applicants.

The BTech climate change is India's first specialized engineering curriculum focused on climate technologies and environmental innovation.

The four-year, full-time BTech programme will empower students to develop cutting-edge technology solutions to mitigate and adapt to climate change challenges. Students will be able to actively participate in live industry climate projects at the climate lab and will gain hands-on experience along with theoretical knowledge.

The programme's curriculum spans across eight climate technology streams. During the final two semesters, students will be able to select specialized programmes as per their interests.

The BTech climate change students will have a mandatory industry experience during the final semester. Under the guidance of experienced industry professionals and academic mentors, students will be placed within the climate economy, where they can apply their knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios.

The institute has partnered with – The Villars Institute in Switzerland and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. Additionally, the institution has formed strategic alliances with climate action organizations, including Sustain Labs Paris, The Commonwealth Secretariat in London, and Initiatives of Change (IofC) in the UK.

Recently, BTech students specializing in climate change completed internships with organizations like BhartiAirtel, the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, and String Bio, among others. The school provides placement opportunities for its students, with Sustain Labs Paris serving as the career partner of Anant School for Climate Action.
