CBSE Board 2026 Class 10 Computer Applications Paper LIVE: Class 10th IT, AI exams today; analysis, answer key

Around 25 lakh students are appearing for the CBSE Class 10 board exams this year, including approximately 14 lakh boys and 10.9 lakh girls. For Class 12, about 10.2 lakh boys and 8.3 lakh girls are expected to take the exams.

Students can appear for the Phase 2 exams under the following conditions:

• Those who appeared in Phase 1 and want to improve their scores in up to three subjects.

• Students who failed in one or two subjects and want to clear those papers.

• Candidates who passed after replacing a failed main subject with a vocational or skill subject.

• Students who missed Phase 1 due to participation in national or international sports events.

Students must follow these important exam day rules:

• Reach the exam centre at least 45 to 60 minutes before the exam begins.

• Entry will not be allowed after the gates close.

• Students must remain seated until the exam concludes and the final bell rings.

• Sharing stationery or discussing answers inside the exam hall is strictly prohibited.

CBSE has introduced a system of conducting Class 10 board exams twice a year. This initiative is intended to reduce exam pressure and provide students with an opportunity to improve their performance within the same academic year.

To pass the Central Board of Secondary Education Class 10 board exams in 2026, students must score at least 33% marks in each subject, including theory, practical, and internal assessment components. In subjects with practical exams, students must also secure a minimum Grade D and pass both theory and practical sections separately.

CBSE will conduct the Class 10 Computer Applications, Information Technology (IT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) board exams today as per the official schedule.

The CBSE Class 10 skill subject exams will be held in the morning shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at designated exam centres.

CBSE will provide 15 minutes of reading time from 10:15 am to 10:30 am for students to review the question paper.

Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, and other electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam hall.

The CBSE Class 10 skill subject exams will be held in the morning shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at designated exam centres.

Students must carry their CBSE Class 10 admit card along with their school ID card to gain entry into the examination hall.

Private candidates can download their admit card themselves by following the steps given below.

• Visit the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in
• Click on “Admit Card – Private Candidates 2026.”
• Enter details such as: application number or roll number, candidate’s name, father’s name, and date of birth.
• Click on submit button.
• Download and print the admit card.

CBSE has implemented an on-screen marking system for evaluating Class 12 board examination answer sheets. However, it has specified that Class 10 answer scripts will continue to be evaluated using the conventional physical marking process.

Before the official start of the evaluation process, the first day will be dedicated to familiarising examiners with the marking scheme, carrying out sample assessments to reduce variations in scoring, and training teachers to efficiently use the digital evaluation platform.

CBSE will design competency-based assessments for its skill subjects in alignment with the standards of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). The board has also decided to introduce semiconductor technology as a new skill subject for students in Classes 8 to 12. Additionally, an artificial intelligence course for students starting from Class 3 will be rolled out in the 2026–27 academic session. These decisions were finalized during the board’s most recent governing body meeting.

Students are required to arrive at the examination centre at least 30-45 minutes before the reporting time specified, as no one will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the reporting time.

Students must carry the admit cards issued by CBSE. Students without admit cards will not be permitted to sit in the examination.

The answer booklets and question papers will be distributed 15 minutes before the exam starts. Students must use that time to fill in their details and go through the CBSE question paper. Students are strictly prohibited from bringing unfair items to the exam hall.

The revised penalties for CBSE Board exams 2026 are as follows:

If a candidate is found using unfair means in any subject, their result for that subject will be cancelled. The cancelled subject cannot be substituted with marks from a sixth or seventh subject for the purpose of declaring a pass.

In such cases, the candidate will be placed in the compartment category and must reappear for the concerned subject.

Starting from 2026, these rules will apply uniformly to all students appearing for the Class 10 examinations conducted by the CBSE.
