Assam HSLC 2023 Class 10 geography paper not leaked; Ranoj Pegu calls reports ‘fake'

NEW DELHI: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has clarified to students and schools about the fake news of HSLC Geography question paper leak that surfaced online.

The minister took to Twitter to share the information where he uploaded a photo of a leaked question paper, indicating that the one released on social media is from the year 2021. The minister has also instructed the concerned officer to lodge an FIR.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu tweeted, "The Geography Question Paper circulated in social media allegedly of leak is fake. SEBA authority has confirmed that it is fake. Instructed concerned officer to lodge FIR in Police station."

As per the SEBA HSLC exam timetable 2023, the Geography exam is scheduled to be held tomorrow, March 20, 2023.

Recently, the ministry also clarified that the Assam Board Class 12 chemistry question paper leak was fake . AHSEC conducted the HS chemistry exam on February 28.

"The news of Chemistry question paper leak in the current HS examination is completely fake and baseless. I have personally checked the matter. We are taking utmost care and maintaining vigilance. Please don’t heed fake news and rumours", Education Minister Ranoj Pegu tweeted earlier.
