UP Board Exams 2019 - over 2 lakh students skipped the exam due to strict checking measures

NEW DELHI, February 13 : UP board class 10, 12 exams began on February 7 under strict disciplinary measures suggested by the government to avoid the practice of any unfair means. As per reports, by the end of day three itself, around 2.5 lakhs students have already skipped the board exams.

UPMSP enrolled more than 58,00,000 students this year for the board exams, out of which 31,95,603 students registered for high school or class 10 exams while 26,11,319 students registered for intermediate exams. The board exams are being conducted at 8354 centres across the state out of which 1,314 exam centres are categorised as sensitive and 448 as very sensitive.

Moreover, a total of 54 students have been caught cheating on the first three days of the exam, of which FIR has been filed against seven of them.

UP board exams are conducted under the tight security of magistrates and police, in addition to the introduction extra measures being taken by way of coded answer sheets wherein candidates are required to write roll numbers on every page. This would prevent candidates from exchanging answer copies.

Mobile squads, special task force are on vigilance in addition to on-duty 2.5 lakh invigilators. In fact, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma himself visited a few exam centres for inspection.

UP board high school exam will conclude on February 28 and the last exam for the intermediate exam will be held on March 2, 2019.
