Subscribe NowNEW DELHI: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will close the registration process for the Bihar Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE), today. Eligible candidates will have to submit their BPSC TRE 3 application form by visiting the official website at official website at bpsc.bih.nic.in.
The BPSC recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 87,774 teacher posts. The BPSC TRE 3 recruitment exam will be conducted from March 7 to 17. The BPSC TRE 3 exam result is expected to be declared between March 22 and 24.
Candidates from unreserved (UR) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 750 to apply for the BPSC TRE phase 3 exam. Candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), female candidates, and disabled candidates are required to pay Rs 200.
The BPSC TRE 3 exam comprises three sections including language, general studies, and subject-specific paper. The language paper carries 30 questions, the general studies section includes 40 questions, and the subject-specific paper contains 80 questions, each carrying a weight of 1 mark.

Age limit

Candidates should have a minimum age of 18 years old to be eligible for primary teacher (Class 1 to 5).

Candidates applying to the post of middle school teacher (Class 6 to 8), trained graduate teacher (TGT) (Class 9 to 10) and PGT (Class 11 to 12) should have a minimum age of 21 years old.

The upper age limit for all male candidates is 37 years and for female candidates is 40 years as on August 1, 2023.
Educational qualification

For Primary School Teacher: Candidates should have passed senior secondary with 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education.

For Middle School Teachers: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree with a 2-year diploma in elementary education or a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree.

For TGT Teacher: Candidates should have a bachelor's or master's Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree.

For PGT Teachers: Candidate should have a master's degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree.
