Breaking News: CLAT 2019 online registration live; Know how to fill CLAT application

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 13 : The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) have finally taken online link of CLAT application form live today at 9:30 am. The law aspirants interested in applying for the Common Law Admission Test for pursuing five-year undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes can fill the online application form of CLAT 2019. According to the official notification, CLAT 2019 registration link will be available till March 31, 2019 by 11:59 pm, which is apparently the last date to submit CLAT application form.

This year CLAT 2019 application form has been taken live a little late. Till last year, the application form of CLAT 2019 would have been available by January 1, which has been delayed by as many as fortnight, this year.

How to fill CLAT application form?

The CLAT 2019 application is a three step online process, which involves registration, filling of application and payment of fees, followed by submission of CLAT application form.

CLAT online registration - The candidates filling the application form for CLAT will have to register online for the Common Law Admission Test. The online registration of CLAT 2019 will require to provide few basic details including Applicant Name, Mobile Number, Email Id and setting of a Password.

Filling of online application of CLAT - Once the candidates have been registered for CLAT 2019, they can begin filling CLAT application form. Candidates need to fill the CLAT 2019 application in one go, providing information in every mandatory field of the online form.

Payment of CLAT application fees - After the filling of CLAT 2019 application form, candidates will also need to pay fees using any of the online payment options-Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.

Once the CLAT application fees have been paid, the candidates can submit the form.

Who are eligible?

The candidates interested in applying for CLAT 2019 need to have qualified 12th board examination of 10+2 school system securing at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category) in aggregate of the subjects.

Those who will be appearing in their 12th board examination this year, can also fill CLAT 2019 application form. But their final admission will be subjected to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria of CLAT.

About CLAT

Common Law Admission Test or commonly called CLAT is a national-level law entrance exam held for admissions to five-year integrated undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes on offer in 21 National Law Universities across India.

CLAT 2019 is scheduled to be held offline on May 12, where the candidates will have to answer 200 multiple-choice answer objective-type questions carrying one mark each. The questions will be broadly based on subject-matters to English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Legal Aptitude and Mathematics. According to CLAT 2019 paper pattern, for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the total score.
