BSEB Inter Exams 2025: Over 5 lakh appear in shift 1; director conducts surprise inspections

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducted the first day of the Intermediate Annual Examination 2025 across 1,677 centres in the state today, February 1. The day 1 of BSEB Class 12 exam 2025 was conducted in two shifts, with strict adherence to guidelines, including frisking, deployment of police and financial magistrates, CCTV surveillance and more.
A total of 5,04,657 students appeared for the Biology and Philosophy exams in the BSEB Class 12 exam 2025 for first shift from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, while 75,281 candidates took the Economics exam for Arts and Commerce students in the second shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
Bihar Board Exams: Surprise inspections
To ensure the exams are being conducted properly, BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore conducted a surprise inspection at various examination centres across Patna. His visits included Government Girls High School, Government Boys High School, K.B. Sahay High School, Dayanand High School +2, and Dayanand Girls High School, among others.
During the inspection, the Chairman met with centre superintendents and magistrates to review the arrangements and emphasized the need for strict adherence to the committee’s instructions.
Additionally, Kishore interacted with students in the examination halls to gather feedback about the conduct of the exam and the questions asked. He also signed the visitor register, as required by the committee’s guidelines, further underscoring the transparency of the process.
Bihar Board Inter Exams: 152 model centres for girls
The board has set up 152 model examination centres for girls , with all female staff, including inspectors, police and magistrates to ensure a smooth experience.
The centres have been specially designed with decorative flowers, balloons, carpets, and a help desk facility for female candidates. In Patna district, the following model centres have been designated for girls:
Kamla Nehru Girls High School, Yarpur
Government Girls High School, Gardanibagh
Rajkiya Kanya High School, Shastri Nagar
Bankipur Government Girls +2 School
BSEB Question papers distributed in 10 sets
Students were provided with data based answer book and data based OMR based answer sheet printed with photo, name and other details to answer the questions. Also the question papers were provided to the students in 10 sets: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J.
The next BSEB Class 12 exams will be held on February 4, 2025. In the first shift, students will appear for the Mathematics exam, while in the second shift, the Political Science exam for Arts students and the Foundation Course exam for vocational students will be conducted.
