CAT 2022: IIM Bangalore adds new exam city; eligibility, registration guidelines

Use NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has added a new exam city for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2022). Candidates can now choose Imphal, Manipur as a preferred exam city for the CAT exam.

CAT was scheduled to be conducted in centres spread across around 150 test cities. Test cities will be mentioned in the CAT website and the name of the test centre will be indicated in the CAT 2022 admit card. By adding Imphal, the total number of CAT 2022 exam cities will be 151 now.
CAT 2022 registration window will be closed today, September 14, at 5 PM. Candidates who fulfill the CAT eligibility criteria 2022 will have to submit their CAT application form before the deadline on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. CAT 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on November 27.

CAT eligibility criteria 2022
Applicants can check the eligibility criteria laid down by the Indian Institutes of Management.
- A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and 45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification or awaiting the result are also eligible to apply for CAT 2022 exam.
- Candidates with a professional degree such as CA/CS/ICWA/FCAI, with the required percentage, can also fill CAT 2022 application form.
While submitting the CAT 2022 application form, candidates are also required to upload important documents. Applications will not be considered if a candidates fails to submit mandatory documents asked in the application.

Scanned marksheets of Class 10, 12 examinations, bachelor's degree/ master's degree, diploma, others, work experience documents have to be uploaded. Applicants must note that only full time work experience will be counted. Along with this, scanned pdf copy of category certificate and scanned pdf copy of PwD certificate should also be uploaded.
While uploading photo, candidates should make sure that the scanned image size is of 1200 pixels x 1200 pixels and the dimensions of signature should be 80mm X 35mm. The file format should be JPG/JPEG and size should not be more than 80kb, as per the registration instructions.
