The VARC section was moderate, DILR was manageable, and QA was also moderate. Students reacted positively, noting a little surprise in the exam. Overall, the difficulty was moderate, and higher cutoffs are to be expected this year."
“Overall, CAT 2024 slot 1 was easier than last CAT 23 and CAT 22 years. Verbal ability section was a level up with longer reading comprehension (RCs), DILR section surprised students with 2 more questions; quants was easier than expected despite being a paper set by IIM Calcutta. And increasing the total questions to 68 and major change was there in Verbal as it had no parajumbles questions. CAT cut-offs may go high for IIMs,” Sumit Singh Gandhi, CEO of Founder CATKing said.
