NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta announced the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 results on December 19, 2024. The CAT cutoff scores vary across IIMs and other B-schools across the country. Candidates are required to score at least 90 percentile to take admission to top IIMs like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode and IIM Calcutta.
The CAT cut-off for IIMs is determined by various factors including the difficulty level of the question paper, the number of candidates who appeared in the exam, seat availability, college ranking, and past year cutoff trends.
Candidates must secure the minimum cutoff marks to take admission to their choice of colleges and then appear for further admission rounds including group discussion and personal interview rounds.
What is a good score in CAT 2024?
To score well in the CAT exam, candidates must attempt all the questions from each section. However, a good CAT score differs for the institute. Candidates willing to take admissions to top IIM institutions must secure a minimum of 95 percentile, whereas, for non-IIMs a score below 95 or 90 percentile is considered acceptable.
