Taking about online education in the country, he added, “The second wave has forced the education institutions to remain close for a longer period. While we have ensured that students are learning at home through various initiatives, we should focus on the needs of the aspirational districts where there is a digital gap so that we can empower the local bodies, NGOs, and the parents and teachers."

In a notice released earlier, CBSE has stated that the board will review the entire situation on June 1 and will take a decision on CBSE Class 12th board exam 2021 thereafter. A 15 days prior notice will be given to the students before the start of the examinations.
The CBSE board exam 2021 for Class 12 was slated to be held from May 4 to June 14, 2021. However, the exams got postponed due to an alarming strike in the cases of Covid-19.
