According to PTI report, the Education Minister said, "Our efforts and commitment ensured continuance of education for 240 million students enrolled in our schools and colleges. We have been successful in transforming our homes into classrooms in these unprecedented times. We have also set an example of ensuring that no student faced a year loss."
Taking about online education in the country, he added, “The second wave has forced the education institutions to remain close for a longer period. While we have ensured that students are learning at home through various initiatives, we should focus on the needs of the aspirational districts where there is a digital gap so that we can empower the local bodies, NGOs, and the parents and teachers."
Many students have requested to cancel the CBSE Class 12 exams. In a notice released earlier, CBSE has stated that the board will review the entire situation on June 1 and will take a decision on CBSE Class 12th board exam 2021 thereafter. A 15 days prior notice will be given to the students before the start of the examinations.
The CBSE board exam 2021 for Class 12 was slated to be held from May 4 to June 14, 2021. However, the exams got postponed due to an alarming strike in the cases of Covid-19.
