CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will open the online application window for the re-evaluation of CBSE Class 12 board exam answer sheets 2026 today, May 19. Eligible students can apply for the re-evaluation of CBSE 12 answer sheets 2026 through the official website at cbse.gov.in.

As per the report, the last date to apply for CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation is May 22. Students can access their rechecked answer sheets from May 26 to May 29.

The CBSE Board has reduced the fee for obtaining photocopies of CBSE Class 12 answer sheets from Rs 700 to Rs 100. The CBSE result verification fee has also been lowered from Rs 500 to Rs 100. Meanwhile, students applying for CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation 2026 will have to pay Rs 25 per question for re-checking.

CBSE has reduced the verification and re-evaluation fees after many students, parents, and teachers raised concerns about the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system and low Class 12 scores.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks in the CBSE Board Class 12 exams 2026 can apply for online result re-evaluation.

Follow the instructions below to apply for the CBSE Board Class 12 re-evaluation process 2026.

  • Apply for a scanned copy of the CBSE 12th answer sheet for the subject.
  • Check the evaluated answer sheet carefully using the CBSE marking scheme.
  • Report any mistakes or concerns to the board.
  • A committee of subject experts will review the request and make the final decision.

According to the CBSE 12th result , this year, the overall pass percentage in the CBSE Class 12 exams stands at 85.20%, a drop of 3.19 percentage points from last year’s 88.39%. As per the official data, 88.86% of girls passed the CBSE Class 12 exams 2026, compared to 82.13% of boys.
