Download NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 and 12 board exam 2023 is underway for 38,83,710 students. The CBSE class 10 board exam is being held for 76 subjects and the class 12 board exam for 115 subjects. The Class 10 board exam for English Language and Literature will be held on February 27 and the Class 12 board exam for English elective and core will be conducted on February 24.

The CBSE class 10 English language and literature question paper will be divided into three sections-- reading skills (20 marks), grammar (10 marks) and writing (10 marks) and literature (40 marks). The CBSE class 12 English elective question paper will have three section-A, B C. Section A will include reading skills for 20 marks, section B will include creative writing skills for 20 marks and section C will include literature for 40 marks.
The CBSE class 12 core question paper will focus on testing a candidate’s ability to comprehend. The question paper will be divided into three sections A, B and C. Section A will be based on reading skills for 20 marks, section B will include creative writing skills for 20 marks and section C will include questions based on literature for 40 marks.
The CBSE Class 10th, 12th sample paper and marking scheme are available on the official website-- cbseacademic.nic.in. While the board has already concluded the exams for some skill subjects and language subjects, the CBSE board exam for class 10 main subjects (group-A1) and class 12 academic electives (group-A) is yet to be held.
The CBSE board class 10 languages (group-L) subject paper for Urdu Course-A, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Manipuri, and Urdu Course-B will be held on February 24 and English Language and Literature will be held on February 27, 2023.

- March 17, 2023 - Hindi Course A, Hindi Course B
- March 21, 2023 - Mathematics Standard, Mathematics Basic
The CBSE board class 12 languages paper for the Hindi elective and core was already held on February 20. While the English elective and core subject examination is scheduled to be held on February 24, 2023. The class 12 academic electives (group-A) Chemistry subject paper for the science stream will be held on February 28 and Geography paper for arts stream will be held on March 2, 2023.
