NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 mathematics standard and mathematics basic and Class 12 information technology papers today, March 21. The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exam timing is 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Candidates can check the CBSE Class 10 maths exam analysis along with Class 12 IT paper student reactions here soon. With the conclusion of the mathematics exam, Class 10 students end their 2023 board exams. Meanwhile, Class 12 students will finish their exams on April 5, 2023.
According to CBSE Class 10 sample paper, the mathematics standard paper and mathematics basic paper was held for 80 marks. The mathematics standard paper contains four sections – Section A, B, C, and D whereas mathematics basic paper had five sections – Section A, B, C, D, and E.

CBSE has warned the schools affiliated with the Board from starting the academic session before April 1, 2023.
Candidates who passed the main CBSE exam held in March 2023 and want to improve their performance can appear for the CBSE improvement exams 2023.
According to CBSE, if a student fails in one or more subjects, then he/she will have to appear in the compartment exams in order to improve their scores.
Sabiha Siddiqui, TGT Mathematics, Genesis Global School stated, “Students were satisfied with the paper. Questions were moderately difficult. Students were able to solve it within the given time frame.”
CBSE Class 12 students will finish their exams on April 5, 2023 with the psychology paper.
JAIN International Residential School, Bangalore, Mathematics Teacher, Vaman Rao, said: "Few questions were moderately-difficult, tested critical thinking and conceptual clarity of the students. Few questions were directly from the books. Some questions evoked critical thinking for students to reaffirm their knowledge."
Vaman Rao, Mathematics Teacher, JAIN International Residential School, Banglore said: "Standard Mathematics was moderate to attempt with a few tricky questions. The question for the Basic Mathematics exam was easy to attempt. The case study questions in the paper were slightly tricky to attempt but those who prepared well would be able to answer them."
The CBSE 10th Result 2023 is expected to be announced in May or June 2023.

If a student happens to fail in the CBSE board exam 2023, they will have to reappear in all the subjects, including practical exams.
To opt for the science stream in Class 11, a student must score 75% to 80% in science subjects in the CBSE 10th board exam.

For the standard maths paper, the multiple choice questions were very simple and direct and with assertion-reason questions completely related to complete knowledge of concepts.
The questions in the basic Maths paper on the contrary were very easy to comprehend and answer. All sections had questions which were fairly easy to interpret and calculate.
There was no overall choice. However, internal choices were provided in two questions of sections B, C, and D, and three questions’ choices in section E.

According to KIIT World School Gurugram, Mathematics Teacher, Expert-Yogita Sharma, Overall a little lengthy-n-moderate paper as far as the difficulty level is concerned, with a balanced approach for all kinds of students. According to students, the quadratic equations question was rather lengthy. Students say the paper was doable and good choices were given.
While speaking on the Maths paper analysis, KIIT World School Gurugram, Mathematics Teacher, Expert-Yogita Sharma said: "As per students, The initial response was an easy paper with only a few tricky questions. But difficulty level of the question paper was moderate to difficult. The time-consuming section was Section C and D. Two questions in section A were tricky. The two-mark questions in Section B were simple, but writing the step-by-step solutions would have taken a long time .1-2 questions in Section C with 3 marks could have challenged students."
