CBSE, Microsoft training partner to train school teachers on ‘hybrid learning’

CBSE in collaboration with Microsoft Education and Tech Avant-Garde will conduct hybrid learning training programme for teachers of schools affiliated to CBSE.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in partnership with Microsoft’s global training partner, Microsoft Education and Tech Avant-Garde will train teachers of schools affiliated to the board on ‘hybrid learning’.

Due to the pandemic situation, schools remained closed and both teachers and students have been struggling with the teaching system.

However, several state governments are reopening schools now. While most schools are ready to welcome students, parents are hesitant in sending their children to schools for physical classes and prefer online studies till the situation gets better, a CBSE statement said.

“In this context, Central Board of Secondary Education, Microsoft Education and Tech Avant-Garde, Global Training Partner of Microsoft, have taken an initiative to educate schools on how to manage these uncertain times by training teachers on “Hybrid Learning”,” the CBSE statement read.

The board has invited two teachers from each CBSE affiliated school and the duration of the training is five days. The schools need to fill the enrolment form till November 5 for applying to the training programme.

The training programme named as ‘Hybrid Learning Programme’ will begin from November 15 for five days and each day, a webinar will be conducted for one hour thirty minutes. The training batches will be formed according to the registrations, as per CBSE statement.

The training agenda of the programme is as follows:

  • Day 1 – Introduction to Hybrid Learning Education 3.0
  • Day 2 – Hybrid Learning Concept & Tool Kit
  • Day 3 – Implementation of Hybrid Learning in the Live Classroom
  • Day 4 – Elements of Hybrid Learning & Workflow
  • Day 5 – Hybrid Learning Setup – Hardware and Software components

There will be three batches of the training programme:

  • Batch-1: November 15 to 19, Test on November 20, 2021
  • Batch-2: November 22 to 26, Test on November 27, 2021
  • Batch-3: November 29 to December 3, Test on December 4, 2021
  • Graduation Day - December 11, 2021

Teachers who attend the training should have a basic knowledge of technology and will be certified as “hybrid learning” specialists who could be consulted in future, as per the CBSE statement.

The training programme is free of cost and a teacher teaching any subject in affiliated schools can attend the programme.

The webinars would be conducted on Microsoft Team live meeting, the link of which will be emailed to the participants a day before the training.
