CEEMAN Champion Awards 2023: Woxsen University professor gets ‘Responsible Management Educator of the Year’

Woxsen University’s Shilpi Agarwal contributed to teaching methodology, research, and engagement in transformative projects.
NEW DELHI: Woxsen University’s associate professor Shilpi Agarwal, has been awarded the CEEMAN Champion Awards 2023 in the category of “Responsible Management Educator of the Year”.
The award is given by the International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies (CEEMAN) for Agarwal's achievements and contributions to responsible management education.
Agarwal has worked in Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) principles through various initiatives at Woxsen University and contributed to teaching methodology, research, and engagement in transformative projects, a WOXEN University statement said.

One such initiative taken by her is the implementation of the Financial Literacy Project rooted in the concept of Education for Responsible Sustainability (ERS), the statement added.
The project was aligned with sustainable development goal 1: No Poverty. This awareness programme, according to the university, empowered disadvantaged communities by equipping them with essential knowledge and skills related to personal finance, budgeting, and entrepreneurship. The project has played an important role in reducing poverty, improving the standard of living, and fostering an inclusive society, it added.
The CEEMAN Champion Awards celebrate individuals and institutions that demonstrate exceptional commitment to responsible management practices, sustainability, and positive societal change.

Expressing her gratitude on receiving the award, the professor said: “I am honored to receive “Responsible Management Educator of the Year” award, 2023. It deepens my drive to intensify efforts toward sustainability in curriculum, teaching methodology and research. This win is for all the academicians adapting ways to ensure that learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.”
