CJP claims ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign wins in Rajasthan, UP, Maharashtra, Haryana

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has released a mid-progress report on its 'School Thik Karo campaign,' claiming that its efforts to draw attention to the condition of government schools in different parts of India have prompted action in several states. The campaign was launched last month to raise public awareness about the facilities available to students and encourage improvements in government schools.

In a series of posts on X, CJP said it had urged people across the country to visit government schools to audit condition. CJP has highlighted developments in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Haryana, describing them as major achievements of the campaign.

Rajasthan announces Rs 12,500 crore

Rajasthan was among the first states where its school inspections brought attention to poor infrastructure and other facilities provided to students. CJP conducted back-to-back inspections of schools in the state, with some of the visits also receiving international media attention. According to CJP, the Rajasthan government subsequently announced a budget allocation of Rs 12,500 crore.

The party called the announcement a major development, saying it demonstrated how public attention to school infrastructure could encourage authorities to take action.

Uttar Pradesh approves Rs 604 crore

CJP said its campaign subsequently focused on government schools in Uttar Pradesh, and the state government approved Rs 604 crore for the overhaul of government schools.

The party listed the approval as another significant development under its 'School Thik Karo campaign' and said students in the state would benefit from improvements in school infrastructure and facilities. The state government, however, has not specified the number of schools that would be covered under this budget.

Maharashtra launches ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’

Maharashtra was the third state mentioned in mid-progress report. CJP said the Maharashtra government had launched a new initiative called “School Chalo Abhiyan”, which it described as one of the campaign’s biggest achievements. The party attributed the development to the increased attention generated by its school inspections and the broader focus on improving government schools.

Haryana announces Rs 400 crore for 450 schools

CJP claimed that the Haryana government had recently announced Rs 400 crore for upgrading 450 schools. Party said that 'School Thik Karo campaign' had gained traction and attracted media attention, leading to greater focus on the condition of government schools. The party said the mid-progress report was intended to demonstrate how citizens visiting and auditing government schools could bring attention to infrastructure-related and other issues affecting students.

The organisation has also urged people across the country to continue visiting government schools as part of the #SchoolThikKaro campaign, with the stated objective of creating better learning environments for children.
