CENTAC 2025: Draft merit list out for engineering, arts, commerce, science; 8,398 shortlisted

The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has published the first draft merit list for UG-Non NEET professional courses, arts, science, and commerce for the academic year 2025-26. A total of 8,398 students have been listed in the CENTAC draft merit list for engineering, arts, commerce, and science courses.

The centralised admission process is held for admission in government and private colleges in Puducherry. As per the merit list, 6,654 candidates have been selected for CENTAC non-NEET arts, commerce, and science courses, and 1,744 for BTech courses in self-supporting seats based on JEE Main scores.

Candidates have been given an opportunity to submit objections against the draft merit list by 5 pm on June 26. They will also be able to check the verification status of the submitted applications available on the candidate's dashboard. The approximate number of seats in the various courses for which counselling is done by the CENTAC is given below.

What’s next?

The CENTAC second draft merit list will be published next. Following this, a last and final merit list will be uploaded and candidates will be given adequate time to raise objections and submit documents, if required.

There will be a total of four rounds of online counselling - round 1, round 2, round 3, and mop-up round. Additional mop-up rounds may be conducted based on availability of seats, it said.
