Chitkara University confers honorary doctorate upon Sameer Guglani
Sameer Guglani shared his journey and experiences with the Chitkara University students and encouraged them to follow their aspirations.

NEW DELHI: Chitkara University awarded an honorary doctorate to Sameer Guglani, founder of Supermorpheus for his contribution to the business, the startup community and humanity. Supermorpheus is a community-driven seed investing platform, which has around 700 members and a portfolio of 65 investments, the university said in a statement.
In his address, Guglani spoke about his journey and experiences and encouraged the students to believe in themselves and follow their aspirations. “I accept this honour on behalf of the Morpheus and Supermorpheus community. Chitkara University is known for its love of startups and innovation and this is another amazing gesture from them,” he said.

The honorary doctorate was awarded by Chitkara University chancellor Ashok Chitkara and pro-chancellor Madhu Chitkara during the 17th convocation event of the university. Around 400 students of Chitkara Business School were awarded degrees during the event.
During his speech, Madhu Chitkara talked about Guglani’s efforts and contribution to startups and society, “through his vision, drive for innovation and passion to bring about transformation and change.” “As a leader, Guglani has not only contributed to the startup community but has also become a role model for many. Students look up to such leaders and aspire to become like them,” she said.
