CJP leader alleges Bengal volunteer's father dies after attack by 'BJP goons'; demands 'immediate arrest'

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has alleged that the father of one of their volunteers in West Bengal’s Bankura district has died after being attacked by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) “goons” and demands immediate arrest for those responsible.

Dipke took the social media platform X and claimed that one of his volunteers, Sheikh Abdul Hafiz from West Bengal, went to inspect the government school where he once studied as part of CJP’s ‘SchoolThikKaro’ campaign.

Following this, Abdul and his father were allegedly beaten up by BJP goons for visiting the nearby school.

‘Makes my blood boil’, says Dipke

Dipke said Abdul and his father were attacked by goons, allegedly from the BJP, for speaking up about the poor condition of government schools.

“It makes my blood boil that people are being murdered simply for demanding better schools. CJP stands firmly with Abdul and his family. We demand the immediate arrest of those responsible for his father’s death. A CJP team will visit West Bengal and ensure that Abdul and his family get justice.”

He further added that the CJP would continue its campaign for better government schools despite threats or attempts at intimidation.

Abdul’s video claiming ‘assault’

In a video circulating online, Abdul claims that he went to a nearby primary school and requested one of the teachers if he could “inspect” the school as part of the campaign. However, the teacher asked him to come “tomorrow.”

According to Abdul, we went to school around 11 am and later in the evening, he and his father were allegedly attacked and assaulted by almost seven to eight BJP workers.

He also claimed that the BJP goons also “threatened to kill him”. The video was posted by CJP co-convener Ashotosh Ranka on X (formerly Twitter).

Ranka, along with other members of the CJP, will visit the Bankura district to look into the matter. He also appealed to “all cockroaches of Bengal” to reach Indas PS, Bankura district.

“We want to fix the school. But BJP's goons are only spreading violence across the entire country. Abdul's only mistake was that he wanted to get his village school repaired. But BJP's goons beat his father so badly that he died. Tomorrow, I, VijayMallangi, Ankit, Sudhir, and all CCP workers will go to Bankura. To deliver justice to Abdul's family. An appeal to all cockroaches of Bengal to reach Indas PS, Bankura District. We are not afraid of BJP's goons,” Ranka posted on X.

Request for inspection in Rajasthan schools

Ranka also said on X that he has received requests for “inspection” of schools in Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Kota, Barmer, and Hanumangarh.

“In the next few days, I will cover all these locations. If there is a dilapidated school in your city or village too and the administration is not listening, then tag me. CJP’s team will soon reach there. We will get the schools of our children fixed, come what may!”

CJP’s #SchoolTheekKaroCampaign

Dipke has launched the 'School Thik Karo' campaign, through which he has been visiting government schools to highlight shortfalls in basic infrastructure. The initiative calls for a social audit of govt schools, urging parents and local residents to record problems like water supply, electricity, working toilets, seating arrangements, hygiene, and mid-day meal provisions.
