NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), while announcing the exam date of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 on June 14, had said that it will give candidates an option to modify their preferred CLAT 2021 test centres once the application window is closed. Given that the CLAT 2021 application form was closed on June 15 , the exam centre edit option is likely to start anytime now.
The CLAT 2021 exam centre edit option will be available through candidate login, wherein the candidate will be able to pick an exam centre closer to their homes. A maximum of three options can be selected in the order of priority.
The national-level law entrance exam, CLAT 2021 will be conducted in pen-and-paper format on July 23 (2 - 4 pm) following all COVID-19 safety protocols. The consortium also asked candidates to get themselves vaccinated before attending the exam.

The CLAT 2021 exam will be of 2-hour duration and include objective-type questions. The CLAT-PG exam was earlier scheduled to have both objective and descriptive type questions, however, the descriptive section was dropped at the last moment.
CLAT-UG 2021 scores will be used for admission to 5-year LLB programmes offered by the 22 participating NLUs. Meanwhile, CLAT-PG scores will be used for admission to 19 NLUs that offer the one-year LLM programme.
