This year, law admissions have already been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in most cases, uncertainty is still there. The law schools have changed their admission schemes and dates frequently in view of COVID-19. Therefore, law aspirants should keep themselves updated with all the events going around in relation to the law entrance exams in India.
So, here are some latest news and updates related to law entrance exams this week.
CLAT 2021 - Admit card out
One of the most popular law entrance exams, Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) will be conducted on July 23, in offline mode. The admit card for CLAT 2021 has been released today at the official website of NLU Consortium - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates may download the admit card by logging into the admission portal.
Will CLAT 2021 be postponed again?
Students are requesting the consortium to postpone CLAT exam in view of COVID-19 and its clash with JEE Mains examination which will be held on July 20, July 22 and July 25, 2021. However, with the release of the CLAT admit card, the exam is now unlikely to be postponed again.
MH CET law 2021 registration date extended
The State CET Cell, Maharashtra has meanwhile extended the last date of submission of MH CET law 2021 application form for 5-year LLB from July 12 to July 20. The dates for the examination are yet to be announced.
For three-year LLB, the MH CET law application form will be released soon at mahacet.org.
AILET admit card 2021 expected to be released
After CLAT, the National Law University Delhi is also expected to release the admit card of AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) 2021 this week. The entrance exam of NLUD will be conducted on July 30, 2021, in offline mode. AILET 2021 will be conducted for admission to BA LLB, LLM and PhD programmes.
SLAT and Symbiosis AIAT conducted in remote proctored mode
Last week, Symbiosis International University (SIU) conducted Symbiosis Law Aptitude Test (SLAT) and Symbiosis All India Admission Test (AIAT) in remote proctored mode. SLAT was conducted for admission to BA LLB and BBA LLB while the AIAT was conducted for LLB 3-year LLB and LLM courses offered by the Symbiosis Law Schools.
For AIAT 2021, personal interviews (PI) will be conducted in the last week of July and the admission list will be available in the first week of August.
In the case of SLAT 2021, the result will be declared on July 26 and the PI round will start in the first week of August.
Some other law entrance exams will be conducted in the month of August. These include PU LLB 2021 (August 08), TS LAWCET (August 23), Lucknow University LLB (After August 15) and others.
