SLAT 2021 exam starts tomorrow; To be conducted in online remote-proctored mode
To take the exam, candidates will need a laptop and webcam that meet the specifications specified by SIU.
NEW DELHI: Symbiosis International University (SIU) will conduct the university-level SLAT 2021 exam between July 10 and July 12. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the exam will be held in remote-proctored test (RPT) mode in multiple slots.

Admit cards for the SLAT 2021 were available from June 29-July 1.
To help candidates with the technicalities of the remotely-administered exam, the university conducted an Infrastructure Readiness Check (IRC) on June 28-30, followed by Dry Run Checks (DRC) from July 4-6.

The technical requirements for the SLAT 2021 remote-proctored exam are as follows:
IBA launcher for Internet-Based Assessments (IBA)
Desktop PC or Laptop along with the Mouse
Windows 7, 10 and Ubuntu LINUX (14.1 and 16) version
Minimum 4GB of RAM
Intel Core i3 or above
Minimum 100 MB of free space
2 Mbps un-interrupted internet speed is desirable
Google chrome latest Version 83.0 for Best experience
Integrated Webcam or USB Connected Webcam
Windows 10: All versions of Chrome and Internet Explorer are supported. Firefox not supported
Windows 7: All versions of Chrome and Internet Explorer are supported. Firefox version 46 – 56 are supported
Ubuntu 14.1 and 16: All versions of Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox are supported
iOS OS and iOS/Android Devices are not supported.
Antivirus and Firewall must be uninstalled or disabled.
To answer questions related to WAT, the keyboard must be properly working.
There mustn't be any power cuts.
Updates on other popular law entrance exams
The CLAT 2021 exam is scheduled for July 23 and will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode. The consortium that conducts the national-level exam is expected to release the CLAT admit card 2021 any time now.
The CLAT exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by participating National Law Universities (NLUs).
Another national level exam, AILET 2021 will be conducted by NLU Delhi (the only NLU that doesn’t accept CLAT scores), on July 30. The exam will also be conducted in a pen-and-paper mode for admission to BA LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. programs offered by the university.
Applications for both AILET 2021 and CLAT 2021 are now closed.
MH CET law 2021 is a state-level exam conducted by the State CET Cell Maharashtra for admission to 3-year and 5-year LLB programs in law colleges in the state. The application form for the 5-year LLB is currently open, while applications for 3-year LLB is expected to start shortly.
