COMEDK 2025: 20,000 Karnataka engineering seats up for grabs; FAQs on registration, admission

NEW DELHI: The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka - Undergraduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET 2025) and Uni-GAUGE exam will be held as a combined entrance exam for the academic year 2025-26. The officials have answered frequently asked questions on the COMEDK-Uni-GAUGE single session exam.
Around 190 engineering colleges of Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) will admit students based on the COMEDK score. While announcing the COMEDK exam date 2025, the officials informed that the online entrance exam will be held at various exam centres across the country on May 10 to fill around 20,000 seats.
On the other hand, a total of 33 universities under Uni-GAUGE will be using the score to offer admission to BE, BTech courses.
COMEDK 2025 FAQs
COMEDK registration date 2025 - The application form will be made available on the official website, comedk.org, on February 3. The last date to register for the engineering entrance exam is March 15. Before the application deadline, candidates will be given an opportunity to edit the details entered in the application between April 11 to 14.
COMEDK application fees 2025 - The registration fee has been increased from Rs 1,800 to Rs 1,950 for candidates applying for COMEDK - physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) exam. Those who wish to appear for both COMEDK and Uni- GAUGE exam will have to pay Rs 3,200 convenience charge as applicable.

COMDEK syllabus 2025 - The entrance exam will be conducted based on the syllabus followed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). As per the latest update, the prescribed course of study for the exam is CBSE Class 11 syllabus 2023-24 and Class 12 syllabus 2022-25.
COMEDK mock test 2025 - As many as 11 different mock tests will be made available to the students through the official portal. The COMEDK mock test links are uploaded to familiarise students to the computer-based test.
COMEDK exam pattern 2025 - The question paper will have three sections - physics, chemistry and mathematics - carrying 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Each correct answer will fetch one mark and there will be no negative marking for wrong responses, as per the marking scheme. The medium of the exam will be English.
Is COMEDK open to only Karnataka students? No. Students from all states in India will be eligible to apply for the COMEDK exam 2025 for BE, BTech admissions. However, only SC, ST, and OBC candidates belonging to Karnataka are eligible to get the benefit of lower eligible qualifying marks.
