COVID-19: Telangana schools to reopen on February 1
Telangana Covid Cases: There is a declining trend in Covid cases as the state recorded only 3,877 new cases

NEW DELHI: Telangana government has decided to reopen all educational institutions in the state from February 1, said the state education minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, reported the ANI .
Due to the rising COVID-19 cases in Telangana , chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had initially declared holidays for all educational institutions from January 8 to 16. Later, the curbs were extended to January 30. The Covid vaccination drive for children was also launched in Telangana on January 3, for adolescents of the age group of 15-18 years.

As per various media reports, schools are reopening in many states and cities around India. State governments of Rajasthan, Haryana and Tamil Nadu have already decided to reopen schools on February 1. Schools in Pune will also reopen on February 1, and the Karnataka government allowed Bangalore schools to reopen on January 31.

Covid cases in Telangana
Telangana is showing a declining trend in Covid cases as the state recorded 3,877 new Covid cases with two fatalities on January 28 as per a COVID-19 bulletin by the government. There are 40,414 active Covid cases in the state.
