CSIR NET Result 2024: HRDG declares category-wise results; 10,969 qualify for PhD admissions

CSIR UGC NET Results 2024: 1,963 candidates qualified for JRF and assistant professor and 11 for JRF only.
NEW DELHI: The Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2024 results have been announced for all categories. Candidates who appeared for the June exam can check the list of roll numbers of qualified candidates on the official website, csirhrdg.res.in. CSIR UGC NET results 2024 were declared on September 13 for 1,63,529 aspirants.
A total of 1,963 candidates have qualified the CSIR NET June 2024 exam for the category 1 of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and are also eligible for the post of assistant professor. 11 students have passed the exam for JRF only.
1,875 candidates have cleared the test for JRF under the University Grants Commission (UGC)’s JRF scheme. These candidates are also eligible for assistant professor posts.
Under category 2 for assistant professor and admission to PhD programmes, a total of 3,172 candidates have been declared qualified. On the other hand, as many as 10,969 are eligible for category 3 which is for PhD admissions only.
CSIR NET Result 2024: Validity, weightage
While announcing the CSIR NET result 2024, the Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) informed that for admission to PhD programmes, the marks obtained by candidates in the category-2 and category-3 of the NET exam will be valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the CSIR UGC NET June 2024 result. The PhD admissions will be based on the combined merit of NET marks and interview performance wherein 70% of weightage will be given to marks and 30% to performance in the interview or viva voce conducted by the university.
CSIR NET result June 2024 will be declared in percentile along with the marks obtained by a candidate to utilize the marks for PhD admissions.
CSIR HRDG will notify the instructions related to issuance of eligibility certificate and validity of fellowship separately.
