Check NowNEW DELHI, DECEMBER 9 : Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting CTET 2018 exam on December 9, 2018 in two shifts. The exam is being held across multiple cities in 92 states across India. The examination for Paper 1 is being held from 9:30 am to 12 pm whereas Paper 2 is being conducted from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The exam is being conducted for those candidates who have successfully filled up the CTET application form in online mode.

Candidates who are appearing for the exam were advised to reach at least 45 minutes before the examination begins. They were also required to carry their admit card of CTET 2018 along with one of the photo identity proofs - Voter ID Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Driving License etc. Candidates were allowed to carry pens inside the examination hall.
After the exam, CBSE will release CTET answer key. However, some of the coaching institutes are expected to release the answer key of CTET much before the official answer key by CBSE. The result of CTET is expected to be declared in December in online mode. Based on the result of CTET, candidates will be awarded eligibility certificate which will be valid for 7 years from the date of the result announcement.
CTET qualified candidates will be eligible to apply as teachers in schools under Central Government like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Tibetan School etc and schools under the administrative control of UTs and unaided private schools.
CTET was not held in 2017. The examination was last conducted in the year 2016 wherein the official data reflects that as many as 799753 candidates had registered for paper 1 and 2 of CTET.
