NEW DELHI: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 paper 2 was cancelled today due to technical glitch, a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) spokesperson has confirmed. Paper 2 was scheduled to be held today, December 16, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

"Statement by TCS iON on the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)," TCS iON, a strategic business unit of Tata Consultancy Services focused on educational institutions, exam boards and manufacturing industries said in a tweet.

It is for the first time that the CTET 2021 exam was conducted in computer-based mode and according to the inputs provided by the students as such they did not face any technical glitches or any other problem.

CTET paper 1 has been conducted successfully from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm today with COVID-19 protocols.

As per CTET exam analysis 2021, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate.

The CTET 2021 exam will be conducted for two papers from December 16 to January 13, 2022 (Paper I & II). Paper 1 is for the aspirants who want to become teachers for classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for the aspirants who wish to become teachers for classes 6 to 8.

A Twitter user said: "Such a great management of cbseindia29 Second paper of Exam got cancel due to technical issues ..."

Another student said: "..Such a great management of CTET. Second paper of Exam got cancel due to technical issues..admit card just released 2 days before now exam cancelled.. ultimately students are suffering."

A Twitter user said that government must be held accountable for its failures.
