CUSAT CAT Law application process begins; Apply before Feb 28

Kochi: Cochin University has begun the application process for CUSAT CAT for all programmes including undergraduate and postgraduate law. The candidates interested in pursuing BBA LLB and B.Com LLB under the undergraduate law programmes and LLM under postgraduate law programmes will need to register online before filling the application form. The last date to submit the form is February 28, 2018. However, if the candidates can’t fill the form by the aforesaid date, they can do so in between March 1 and March 3, 2018, but with a fine. The last date to pay application fees for CUSAT CAT law programmes is March 5, 2018.
The university is conducting CUSAT CAT for five-year integrated law programmes on April 28, 2018, that for three-year LLB and LLM programmes on April 29, 2018.
Are you eligible?
According to the latest brochure of CUSAT CAT, candidates need to be passing in 10+2 board examination with 60 per cent marks (55 per cent in case of Arts / Humanities subjects) in the aggregate of the subjects studied. In case they do not meet these criteria, they will be considered ineligible for CUSAT CAT admissions for the five-year integrated law programmes.
Those applying for three-year LLB programme need to have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 per cent of aggregate marks in the subjects studied at graduation level.
Further, those applying for LLM programme need to be a Law graduate with at least 45 per cent marks in the final year examination certificate.
About CUSAT CAT for Law programmes
The University conducts a computer-based test for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The entrance test has multiple choice type questions which need to be answered within two hours. The entrance exam is held in the district headquarters of Kerala.
There are 30 seats on offer for both the undergraduate law programmes, BBA LLB and B.Com LLB. The university offers 40 seats under LLB programme and 36 for LLM programme.
