Delhi government invites applications for state teachers’ award 2023; eligibility criteria

All regular teachers can apply for Delhi state teachers’ award 2023 at edudel.nic.in by August 20. Know the application process.
NEW DELHI : The Directorate of Education, Delhi has invited applications from teachers for state teachers’ award 2023. The Delhi government will award teachers for their contribution on the occasion of teacher’s day 2023. Eligible teachers can apply for the awards on the official website, edudel.nic.in by August 20. 118 awards are on offer this year.
“A great teacher and philosopher Dr. Radha Krishnan's (former President of India) birthday is celebrated as Teachers' Day every year on 5th September. It would be a proud privilege to salute and honour the teachers - for their indomitable dedication and remarkable work who mould the lives and careers of the students with love, devotion and care,” the directorate said in an official notice.

The eligibility criteria to apply for the award is as follows:
- All the principals/vice principals/ HOSs and teachers of primary, middle, secondary and senior secondary schools of Delhi/DOE/DOE-aided/DOE recognised, un-aided/MCD/MCD-aided/MCD recognised, un-aided/NDMC/NDMC aided/NDMC recognised, un-aided./DCB schools who have completed at least 7 years of continuous and regular service as teachers by March 31, 2023 are eligible to apply.
- Principals, teachers, and vice principals who retired on or after March 31 are eligible.
The directorate informed that teachers will have to submit the application form in the respective category of their schools. Category A is for schools having student enrolment above 2,500 students, category B for enrolment from 1,000 to 2,500, and category C for below 1,000 students.
Applicants will be required to submit a brief bio-data in the application form and upload the supporting documents such as reports of activities, field visits, photographic evidence,
attested copies of CBSE gazette for classes 10 and 12, annual results for classes other than 10 and 12, certificates of participation in cocurricular activities, relevant pages of service book, inspection reports with ATRs, expenditure reports etc. Each candidate will also give an undertaking.
