Delhi EWS Admissions Result 2025: Result of first draw-of-lots for seats reserved under RTE today
The computerised draw of lots for admission under the EWS and DG category will be announced today at 2:30 pm, as per the official notice by the Delhi Directorate of Education.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) will declare the draw of lots for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) categories for the academic session 2025-26 today, March 5.
The DoE will announce the results for EWS and DG categories through the official website at edudel.nic.in. Parents and guardians will be able to check the admission results through the official portal once released.
“The department is going to conduct 1st computerized draw of lots for admission under EWS/DG category in Private Unaided Recognized Schools of Delhi, for the academic session 2025-26,” as per the official notice on the DoE website.

Recently, the Delhi government issued an official order to all the school heads in the state, stating that the
admissions for EWS, DG
and Children with Special Needs (CWSN) categories should be held through a computerised draw of lots and no manual intervention should be used.

Delhi EWS, DG Admission 2025: Over 2 lakh applications
More than 2 lakh registrations have been received by the DoE and the result of the draw of lots will be released for 38,000 students, as per the state education minister Ashish Sood.
"The income eligibility limit for admission under the EWS category has been increased to Rs 5 lakh," the minister said.
To ensure transparency, the computerised draw of lots will be broadcast on television with a “standard SOP been prepared for the process,” Sood added. The selected students will receive a slip after document verification and no school will be permitted to deny admission to them, he added.
The DoE in January 2025, also released the first merit list for nursery, KG, and Class 1 admission in private schools, where over 150 students were selected by the schools
