DGE declares Tamil Nadu SSLC result; girls outperform boys

NEW DELHI, May 23: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has announced Tamil Nadu SSLC results on May 23, 2018. While the overall pass percentage is 94.5, girls have outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 96.4. The pass percentage for boys is 92.5. The top three districts with highest pass percentages are-Sivagangai (98.5%), Erode (98.38%), and Virudhunagar (98.29%). Students who appeared in the exam can check their result online by entering their registration number and date of birth. The TN SSLC result will also be sent to candidates to their registered mobile numbers through SMS. Candidates will get their provisional mark sheets on May 28.

As per reports, in 2018, approximately 10,01,140 students had registered for the class 10 examination in Tamil Nadu, which is a drop from last year's 10.25 lakh students. The exam was conducted from March 16 to April 22.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-totalling from May 24 to 26 at their respective schools. Students who did not clear the exam can appear in the supplementary exam that will be conducted on July 28, 2018.
