In March 2022, the Delhi University Students’ Union ( DUSU ) wrote a letter to the DU Vice-Chancellor demanding hybrid mode of exams for students of even semester. DU students also protested in front of the VC office demanding open book exams (obe).
A student said in a tweet, “Other central Universities can provide #OBE ..Why can't DU? Help DU students.”

A Twitter user said, “I am single parent, and mother of only one child and Delhi University's oppression of own students and ignoring the demand of #OBE is increasing the tension among the children if the children are depressed and take any wrong step then on their dead bodies will #OBE happen?”

A students’ association tweeted, “Delhi University students want #OBE for this May-June semester Exam as 90% of their syllabus was completed in Online mode! Simple Solution to a logical Demand. DU authorities are mentally torturing students. Let's unite.”

Another student shared a mail from DU informing students about physical semester exams and said, “I don’t think making a hue and cry for OBE is making any difference. Here’s an email that University of Delhi just sent us! Nothing is making sense anymore.”

“Covid cases are rising again, if anything happens to the students #du will be responsible as they are so desperate to take offline exams. So will be those selfish student groups who reopened the university,” tweeted another student.

A Twitter user blamed students’ groups and said, “Idk if OBE will happen or not but I want to call out selfish student groups such as #sfi for landing #du students in this trouble. You guys only care about yourself, reopened the uni just to bring in light your cheap political group. You are the reason students are stressed.”
