St Stephen’s has been in a tussle with the central university for years over its admission policy. The top DU college intended to offer UG admissions based on 85% CUET 2025 score and 15% personal interview, which has now been mandated for Christian minorities.
Last year, DU won a partial fight with St Stephen’s College as the Supreme Court dismissed its petition seeking a stay on Delhi High Court order which had asked the missionaries institution to follow the DU UG admission policy according to which 100 percent weightage has to be given to the entrance test score while granting admission to non-minority students in its undergraduate courses.

The HC had, however, ruled that the DU "cannot insist upon a single merit list for admission of candidates belonging to the Christian community regardless of denomination, etc."
What St Stephen’s UG admission 2025 policy says?
For Christian minority candidates, the college issues the following instructions:
- Apply on the St Stephen’s College portal.
- Must have registered for CUET UG 2025.
- Must register on the DU CSAS UG 2025 portal and select the college as the highest or best or preferred choice for the intended programme.
- The college will decide on the number of applicants under all categories.
- Admissions will be based on 85% of CUET score and 15% of interview score for all categories for Christian applicants.
