Delhi University opens 5-year law admissions 2026 via CLAT, with applications open till May 18 and 120 seats across BA LLB and BBA LLB

The Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi (DU) has released details for admissions to its five-year integrated law programmes for the 2026 academic session. The courses include BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons). The registration for the programme began on April 30, 2026, and will remain open until May 18, 2026, 11:59 pm.
The allocation-cum-admission schedule will be announced later on the official website at law.uod.ac.in. The registration-cum-allocation fee is non-refundable, with candidates from the UR, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories required to pay Rs 1,500, while those from SC, ST, and PwBD categories need to pay Rs 1,000.
During the application process, candidates must upload scanned copies of essential documents, including a photograph, signature, educational certificates, and any applicable experience or category certificates, each within the specified file size limit.
To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognised board. They should have secured at least 45% aggregate marks if they belong to the UR, EWS, or OBC-NCL categories, and a minimum of 40% for SC, ST, and PwBD categories.

Applicants are also required to have appeared for CLAT 2026 to seek admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes at the University of Delhi. The university has specified that candidates placed in the compartment (supplementary) category in their Class 12 exams in 2026 will not be considered eligible for admission for the 2026–27 academic year.

Once the application form is submitted and locked, certain personal details cannot be modified. These include the candidate’s parent’s name, category or sub-category (including caste and supernumerary quotas), gender, email ID, mobile number, and bank account details.

As per the official bulletin, the seat intake for both BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) programmes follows an identical category-wise distribution. Each programme has 60 seats, out of which 24 seats are allocated to the Unreserved (UR) category, 16 to OBC-NCL, 9 to SC, 5 to ST, and 6 to EWS candidates.
This brings the combined total intake for the two programmes to 120 seats, with reservations applied as per government norms across both courses.
