Latest Education News: Registration began for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2024) and the exam notification brought changes. Like the undergraduate medical entrance test, NEET UG, the JEE Main 2024 syllabus is slimmer and registration will cost less for certain sections of students.

The JEE Main 2024 registration is open at jeemain.nta.ac.in till November 20 for Session 1. Registration for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 will begin on February 2. JEE Main 2024 syllabus has been reduced with topics docked from all three subjects, most from the chemistry section. The National Testing Agency, which conducts the exam, has also reduced the NTA JEE Main exam fee for several categories of students including those in the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and the Other Backward Classes (OBC). The JEE Main 2024 exam city count has also dropped to just 300.
In other news, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and its exam and testing body, PARAKH – full form, Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development – conducted the State Education Achievement Survey (SEAS 2023) across states and union territories. The PARAKH exam was conducted for Classes 3, 6 and 9.
Then, Indian Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) saw student protests after a second-year BTech student was molested and filmed on campus, very early on Thursday morning. The protests continued until the IIT-BHU administration agreed to build a wall to separate it from the rest of the university.
