The GATE 2025 exam for Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Geomatics Engineering (GE), Humanities and Social Sciences (XH), Biomedical Engineering (BM), Ecology and Evolution (EY) papers will be held in the afternoon shift.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will end the GATE 2025 February 15 shift 2 exam at 5:30 pm. The exam is being held for a duration of 3 hours.

No, there is no partial marking for any question in GATE 2025. As per the GATE marking scheme 2025, there is no negative marking for wrong answers in MSQ and NAT questions.

The official GATE 2025 answer key will be published by IIT Roorkee. However, some coaching centres may share unofficial GATE 2025 answer key based on memory-based questions.

No, physical calculators are prohibited inside the GATE 2025 exam. However, the GATE 2025 official notice read, “A virtual scientific calculator will be available on the computer screen during the examination. Candidates have to use the same during the examination.”

A good score in GATE 2025 depends on the difficulty level of the exam, cut-off trends, and specific college or PSU. A 90+ GATE 2025 score can be considered good for MTech admissions and top PSU recruitment.

The GATE qualifying marks for CSE was 27.6 last year. This year, GATE CSE qualifying marks is expected to be around 28, as per past trends.

As per the GATE 2025 dress code, candidates shall avoid wearing thick jackets, clothes with heavy buttons or pockets. Shawls, caps, mufflers are also not allowed, as per GATE dress code 2025.

Yes, there is negative marking in GATE 2025. The negative marking in GATE 2025 will be as follows:

• For a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
• For a 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.

However, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers in MSQ or NAT questions in GATE 2025.
