NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has concluded the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 February 16 shift 2 at 5:30 pm. The GATE exam 2025 was held for a duration of three hours in two shifts – forenoon session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. GATE 2025 shift 1 paper analysis, memory-based questions, difficulty level will be available soon.

Candidates are required to carry the GATE admit card 2025 downloaded from the website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. After IIT Roorkee changed the GATE 2025 exam centres from Prayagraj to Lucknow, new admit cards were issued for the examinees.
As per the GATE 2025 exam pattern, the question paper will comprise two sections – general aptitude and candidate’s selected subject. Each section will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

IIT Madras saw an increase in GATE cut-offs for the major MTech programmes last year, with the highest scores for computer science and engineering and integrated circuits. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 February 16 shift 1 has commenced at 9:30 am. The forenoon session will continue till 12:30 pm. Five papers are being held in the first session.
As per the GATE 2025 marking scheme, each question in the exam will carry either one or two marks. There will be a negative marking for each incorrect answer. One-third marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer for one-mark MCQ. For every two-mark MCQ, two-thirds of the marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer. No negative marking for wrong answers to MSQ and NAT questions and no partial marking will be followed for any question will be there.
