GATE 2027 Registration Last Date Live: IIT M.Tech form correction starts on October 14; registration ends soon

GATE 2027 registration process is currently underway, and interested candidates can apply till September 27. Those who have not yet submitted their Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 application form. must apply online through the official application portal of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, IIT Madras.

One of the important changes for GATE 2027 is the use of DigiLocker during registration. IIT Madras has stated that registration through DigiLocker is mandatory for Indian nationals. Candidates are advised to create or update their verified DigiLocker account before completing the application process.

However, the GATE 2027 authorities have also allowed candidates with unverified DigiLocker accounts to register. Such applications will be scrutinised after the registration deadline, and candidates using unverified accounts will have their original documents verified at the examination centre.

How to apply for GATE 2027?

To apply online, candidates should go to the official GATE 2027 website

• On GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) registration portal, log in using the required DigiLocker credentials
• Enter or verify the personal details fetched from DigiLocker
• Provide the required parent or guardian details
• Enter details related to the qualifying degree and institute and select GATE 2027 paper. Candidates opting for two papers must select an eligible combination listed by the organising institute.
• Select six preferred examination cities from same zone
• Upload or provide required documents
• Review all the information entered in the application form carefully
• Pay the applicable application fee through the available online payment modes
• Submit the application form and save confirmation page for future references

Those who miss applying by tomorrow will get an extended opportunity to apply with a late fee until October 5, 2026.
