The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will announce the seat allotment results tomorrow, October 23, for the first round of ICAR counselling 2025 across undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD courses.
The ICAR seat allotment result for all three levels will be hosted on the official website, icarcounseling.com. Candidates who qualified CUET, AIEEA PG, and AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) entrance exams will be eligible for the respective higher educational programmes.
Candidates were allowed to register for the admission process till October 18. The eligibility of applicants has not been checked during the registration process but will be verified by the allotted institute or university during the online document verification commencing tomorrow.
As per the revised dates, the ICAR round 1 seat allotment and document verification will begin on October 23 and will conclude on October 28.
Candidates will be provisionally recommended for admission to a programme at the agricultural universities (AUs) on the basis of merit in the competitive exam and availability of seats at their merit rank at the time of online counselling.
The list of participating universities include Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi (RLBCAU); Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi (IARI), and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa (RPCAU), Bihar.
ICAR Counselling 2025: What after allotment?
Students will be allotted seats in agricultural and allied courses on the basis of merit and availability of seats. Know the admission process:
A candidate will be allotted a specific degree programme based on their overall merit-rank as per the choices submitted by them and available seats. The decision of ICAR will be considered final.
After a candidate accepts the allotment or joins the respective institute, they will be a bonafide student of that agricultural university, and thereafter, will be governed by all the academic rules and regulations including migration, as applicable at that university. ICAR will not directly involve after the candidate accepts allotment.
Candidates will have to complete their document verification before the deadline to confirm their admission.
ICAR 2025: Cancellation, legal action
Once recommendation for admission is finalised, a change in the placement of the subject or university, transfer or migration will not be permitted.
Candidates who qualified the entrance exam this year will not be eligible for admission in the next academic year. The current academic session will close on March 31, 2026.
Female candidates allotted ICAR quota seats will be provided with accommodation in the main campus of the university, where there are adequate facilities for the stay.
In case the documents and testimonials submitted by the candidates are found to be forged or fake, admission order will be cancelled and they will be liable for legal action.
“If the admitting University is not satisfied with the character, past behaviour or antecedents of a candidate, it can refuse to admit him/her. Any external pressure/canvassing by the candidate for admission will be treated as disqualification and his/her admission will be cancelled forthwith,” it clarified.
