IGNOU Admission 2024: Eligible students can apply for ODL, online programmes through the official website, ignou.ac.in. Know refund policy and documents required.

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes again. Eligible candidates can now fill out the IGNOU application form 2024 for the ODL and online programmes by August 14.
“The extension of last date for July 2024 Fresh Admission & July 2024 Re-registration till 14th August 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode,” the university posted on X.
The deadline to apply for the ODL and online programmes for the July session was initially set for June 30. It was later extended to July 15, and then further extended to July 31. The IGNOU has hosted the application link on the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Candidates can check the list of documents required while applying for the IGNOU ODL, online programmes:
Scanned photograph (less than 100 KB)
Scanned signature (less than 100 KB)
Scanned copy of relevant educational qualification (less than 200 KB)
Scanned copy of experience certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
Scanned copy of category certificate, if SC, ST, OBC (less than 200 KB)

As per the IGNOU refund policy, the registration fee is non-refundable however, the fee paid can be refunded before the confirmation of admission. If a cancellation request is received after the admission is confirmed, an amount equivalent to 15% of the program fee, with a maximum deduction of Rs. 2,000, will be deducted from the refund.
For students who opted for a soft copy of the study material, the fee will be refunded after deducting only the registration fee. If a student who has availed of fee exemption and paid only the registration and development fees requests cancellation, only the development fee will be refunded. No refund will be granted if the request for cancellation is made after 60 days from the closing date of admissions.
