IGNOU launches online certificate programmes in Spanish, French languages

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched online certificate programmes in Spanish and French. The courses will be offered by the School of Foreign Languages, IGNOU starting from the January 2022 session. Interested candidates can apply at the official link - ignouiop.samarth.edu.in

The online programmes were launched through a virtual ceremony by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Nageshwar Rao.

Certificate in Spanish Language and Culture (CSLCOL)

The duration of the certificate programme in Spanish language is 6 months. The eligibility criteria for applying to the programme is 10+2 equivalent with the knowledge of English. Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 4,500 for the Spanish certificate programme.

Certificate in SPANISH LANGUAGE and CULTURE(CSLCOL) aims at those prospective learners who are interested in learning Spanish language in a non-native context and who desire to receive culture information on the Spanish-speaking countries.

Certificate in French Language and Culture (CFLOL)

The duration of the certificate programme in French language is 6 months. The eligibility criteria for applying to the programme is 10+2 equivalent and 18 years of age. Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 6,600 for the French certificate programme.

The Certificate in French Language Programme aims to introduce the French language to beginners and gradually build up skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, simultaneously developing intercultural competence.

Recently, IGNOU launched three certificate programmes in Rural Development - Certificate of Rural Development, Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development, MA in Rural Development.
