IIM Kashipur invites applications for MBA Analytics; 10% to get full tuition fee waiver
IIM-K: The MBA analytics programme covers core courses in business statistics, decision modelling, and marketing management. Admission requires a valid CAT 2024 or GMAT score for exams taken on or after May 1, 2023.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has begun the application process for its MBA Analytics programme for the academic session 2025-2027. This is the sixth batch of the two-year, fully residential programme. The programme will focus on data analytics and business intelligence, combining management training with analytics. The last date to register for the MBA analytics programme is February 28, 2025.
The curriculum of the MBA analytics programme will cover core courses in business statistics, decision modelling, and marketing management in the first year. The second-year curriculum includes electives and a dissertation component spread across three terms.
As per the official press release, the programme also includes industry workshops where students gain practical experience and exposure to business practices. “These workshops are designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications, ensuring students are industry-ready from day one,” the press release read.
IIM Kashipur: Eligibility criteria for MBA analytics programme
Candidates seeking admission to the MBA analytics programme must full fill the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must hold a full-time bachelor's degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Candidates from the non-creamy layer other backward classes (NC-OBC) and economically weaker sections (EWS) must have at least 47% marks.
- Candidates from scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), and differently-abled persons (DAP) must have at least 45% marks.
- Candidates must have a valid score in one of the following exams:
- Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for exams taken on or after May 1, 2023

IIM Kashipur MBA Analytics Programme: Scholarships
IIM Kashipur will also provide full tuition fee waivers through three scholarship categories including need-based, merit-based, and need-cum-merit-based scholarships. These scholarships are available to up to 10% of students each year.
The institute further stated that the previous batch (2025-2027) had a gender ratio of 71.52% female and 28.48% male students. It continues to admit students from engineering and non-engineering fields. The MBA analytics programme has seen participation from organisations such as AB InBev, Barclays, Havells, V-Guard, Kotak, TVS, and Accenture Strategy in past placement seasons.
Abhradeep Maiti, chairperson admissions, IIM Kashipur, highlighted the programme’s unique value proposition: “IIM Kashipur was the first IIM to launch the MBA (Analytics) programme in India, building upon its strong foundation of analytics-oriented courses in the existing MBA curriculum.”
“The programme has played a pivotal role in fostering leadership, particularly among female candidates, as it has consistently maintained a higher female representation compared to traditional MBA programs. A key strength of this programme is the yearlong dissertation component, where students collaborate closely with faculty to apply analytics tools on real-world business and economic challenges,” he further said.
