IIMC Application Form Available Now

NEW DELHI, MARCH 21: Indian Institute of Mass Communication has released the application form in both online and offline form. The last date to apply for the IIMC entrance exam is May 1, 2018. IIMC Entrance Exam for Odia/Urdu/Marathi/ Malayalam Journalism will be conducted on May 26 while entrance test for the PG diploma programme in journalism, radio and TV Journalism, advertising and public relations will be conducted on May 27, 2018.
Candidates belonging to the general category have to pay Rs. 1500 as the application fee, while SC, ST, OBC or physically handicapped category candidates have to pay Rs. 1000. It may be noted that there is slight increase in the application fees for the unreserved category who have to now pay Rs 300 more when compared to last year’s fee which was Rs. 1200. On the other hand, the fee for the reserved category students has sen a slight decrease From Rs. 1100 to the current Rs. 1000.

Steps to fill the online IIMC Application form are
- Click on link on the official website
- Choose the exam centre and the course
- Enter all the personal details, address, mobile number and email address
- Upload scanned picture and signature according to the specifications.
- Educational qualification
- Work Experience if any
- Payment of application fee through debit card, credit card, netbanking or a demand draft drawn in favour of IIMC, payable to Registrar, IIMC at New Delhi.
- Candidates paying by DD msut submit the same at the IIMC admission office.
Steps to fill the offline application form of IIMC
- Download the form
- Fill the requisite details in one’s own handwriting with black point pen
- Only one form for one course can be filled
- Paste the picture and put signature in the space provided.
- Put the demand draft in the envelope and send it post at the address that is given below

Selection of candidates will be on the basis of their performance in the written exam, group discussion and interview. The weightage given to the written exam and group discussion/interview is 75:25. Last year the ratio for the same was 85:15.
There has been a surge in the course fee for the various programmes as compared to the previous year. The tuition fee for Hindi and English journalism has increased to Rs 79,000 while last year it was Rs 72,000. The fee for radio and television journalism has risen to Rs 1, 45,000 as compared to Rs 1,39,00 in 2017. The advertising and PR fee increased from Rs 1, 02,000 to Rs 1,12,000. The fee for journalism Odia, Urdu, Marathi and Malayalam has increased to Rs 43,000 from Rs 39,000.
