C3iHub extends registration for 'Hack IITK 2024' global cybersecurity hackathon; apply before January 17

IIT Kanpur's C3iHub: The Hack IITK 2024 offers prize money of over Rs 30 lakh, including Rs 5 lakh in cash prizes and AWS Cloud Credits for winners.
NEW DELHI : The C3iHub Cybersecurity Technology Innovation Hub at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has extended the registration deadline for its Global Cybersecurity Hackathon, ‘Hack IITK 2024,' till January 17, 2025, The extension has been made to allow more students to participate in this programme.
C3iHub invites students, professionals, and startups to register for Hack IITK 2024 at hackathon.iitk.ac.in. The Hack IITK 2024 offers prize money worth over Rs 30 lakh, including Rs 5 lakh in cash prizes and AWS Cloud Credits for winners.
In addition to this C3iHub is launching a webinar series featuring academic and industry experts. The webinar session will be held on January 12, 2025, and include expert guidance and other insights
Cybersecurity webinar aims to equip participants with the tools to tackle pressing cybersecurity challenges. The hackathon will include two qualification rounds: the first round is scheduled for January 12 and the second round is on January 18, 2025, the official C3iHub IIT Kanpur statement added.
Global Cybersecurity Hackathon features two tracks
According to the C3iHub IIT Kanpur statement, Hack IITK 2024 will feature two distinct tracks designed for participants. The solution track is for undergraduate and postgraduate students to focus on areas such as IT security, cybercrime, and web3 security.
The second startup track is tailored for startups and covers various cybersecurity topics including IT security, automotive security, web 3.0 security, cybercrime, mobile security, etc. The tracks aim to provide candidates with an opportunity to explore cybersecurity fields.
“The event has already over 7,000 registrations in the solution track and more than 25 innovative startup ideas in the Startup Track.” the official C3iHub IIT Kanpur statement said.

By extending the registration deadline and introducing the webinar series, we aim to create an enriching platform that fosters innovation, nurtures talent, and addresses critical cybersecurity challenges.”
