IMT Ghaziabad Placements: 14% increase in average salary; highest package at Rs 65.6 lakh

IMT Ghaziabad sees a 14% increase in average annual compensation this year. Over 150 recruiters participate in campus placement.
NEW DELHI: Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad has concluded campus placements for post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) batch 2021-23. The institute saw a 14% increase in average annual compensation as compared to last year. The highest package was recorded at Rs 65.5 lakh per annum.
IMT Ghaziabad has recorded 100% placement for PGDM 2021-23 batch within 15 days where over 150 recruiters from various sectors offered jobs to the students. "We have seen a 14% increase in average annual compensation as compared to last year and 40% increase as compared to last 2 years. The top 10 and top 20 percent average CTC are Rs 29.61 lakhs per annum and Rs 25.30 lakhs per annum respectively," said the IMT Ghaziabad statement.

IMT Ghaziabad students have received an average salary of Rs 17.35 lakh and a median salary of Rs 16 lakh per annum. This year, the PGDM programme saw an average salary of Rs 17.35 lakh whereas it was Rs 15 lakh last year. PGDM marketing saw an average salary of Rs 18.08 lakh while it was 15.93 lakh. PGDM Finance students got an average salary of Rs 15.59 lakh this year whereas it was Rs 14.01 last year. PGDM Dual Country Programme (DCP) and PGDM in Banking and Financial Services (BCS) saw average salaries of Rs 16.56 lakh and Rs 16.27 lakh respectively whereas the amounts were Rs 14.32 lakh and Rs 14.76 lakh last year.
In case of median salary, PGDM and PGDM Marketing programmes received Rs 16.29 lakh and Rs 16.07 lakh this year, respectively while previous year, it was Rs 15 lakh for both. PGDM finance, DCP, and BFS saw median salaries of Rs 14.5 lakh, Rs 14.75 lakh, and Rs 15.14 lakh, respectively. Last year, their median salaries were Rs 13 lakh, Rs 13.05 lakh, and Rs 13 lakh, respectively.

The institute has witnessed hiring across various sectors- fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), consumer products, automobile, manufacturing, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), internet business, logistics and supply chain, among others have participated in the IMT Ghaziabad campus placement this year. "More than 30 recruiters who hired from us this year are part of 2022 Fortune Global 500 ranking list, with 15 of them featured in top 100," said IMT Ghaziabad in the official statement.
Students have been offered roles in sales and marketing, analyst, financial risk and advisory, credit, general management and leadership, strategy, consulting, credit risk, project management, wealth and private banking, corporate finance, treasury risk, project management, product management, market research, equity research, and operations.
In regards to gender ratio in placements, IMT Ghaziabad has recorded an average package for female students at Rs 17.95 lakh per annum as compared to Rs 17.14 lakh per annum for male students.
Companies including Deloitte, Infosys Consulting, TATA Consumer Products, NIVEA, Adani Wilmar, Safari, Philips, and Wipro CCL, HSBC, HDFC Bank, Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Cisco, Cognizant, Genpact, TechMahindra have hired students from IMT Ghaziabad in campus placements.
