Download NowThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the last date Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 registration till October 20. Candidates can apply for JAM registration 2026 on the official website, joaps.iitb.ac.in.

Earlier, the last date for JAM registration 2026 was October 12.
As per the JAM 2026 schedule, IIT Bombay will conduct the JAM 2026 exam on February 15 in the forenoon and afternoon sessions for 7 papers, including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology(GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).
Notably, IIT Kanpur has introduced 3 new courses, including an integrated PhD in Sustainable Energy Engineering (minimum 6 years), MSc in Economics, and MSc‐PhD dual degree in chemistry.

IIT JAM 2026 entrance exam
A total of 3,000 seats are offered for 89 postgraduate courses across 22 IITs for MSc and MS admissions through the IIT JAM 2026 entrance test.
IIT JAM 2026 application fee is Rs 1,000 for female, SC, and ST category candidates opting for one test paper, and Rs 1,350 for two papers. For all other candidates, the fee is Rs 2,000 for one paper and Rs 2,700 for two papers.
The IIT JAM registration 2026 process includes filling up the application form, selecting the test paper and exam city, and paying the registration fee. Candidates can appear for a maximum of two test papers and select as many as three exam cities.
Candidates who qualify for the IIT JAM 2026 exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Candidates will be allotted seats in IITs based on their rank in the merit list, courses available, and seats offered.
