Download EBookNEW DELHI, MAY 7: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has extended the last date of registration for JEE Advanced 2018 to May 8 (10 am). Candidates who have scored the JEE Main cutoff marks announced by CBSE can fill the application form in online mode, which is available from May 2. The application fee can be paid till 5 pm on May 8.

The application form can only be filled by JEE Main 2018 qualified candidates and foreign candidates. As per the registration instructions issued by IIT Kanpur, the fee and documents to be uploaded during the application filling process for JEE Main qualified candidates and Foreign candidates are different.
JEE Main qualified candidates have to upload the scanned copies of Class XI/birth certificate, XII/equivalent certificate, category/additional category certificate, PwD certificate, Scribe Request Letter, DS Certificate and OCI/PIO Cards whereas foreign candidates have to upload their photograph, signature, Class X/birth certificate, Class XII/equivalent certificate, ID Proof, Passport of Mother and Father and testimonials as applicable.
While filling the application form of JEE Advanced 2018, the candidates have to complete the following stages:
1. Reading the instructions carefully.
2. Filling registration form
3. Uploading Scanned images of documents/certificates
4. Registration fee payment
5. Printing confirmation page
IIT Kanpur will release the admit card on May 14. Candidates have to download the same and carry the printout to the exam centre failing which they will not be allowed to sit for the exam. The address of the exam centre allotted will be mentioned on the admit card.
JEE Advanced 2018 will be held on May 20. The exam will be a computer based test for the first time unlike 2017 when it was a pen and paper based test. The national level engineering entrance test for IIT admissions comprises of 2 papers – Paper I and Paper II. It’s mandatory for candidates to appear in both the papers.
As per the official schedule, Paper I will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, while Paper II will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. JEE Advanced is the entry gate for admission to 10,988 undergraduate engineering seats across 23 IITs, though the total seat intake may increase a little than this in case new seats are added. Counselling will be common through JoSAA.
